Best €1500 Laptop?

I got a gaming pc lately and I'd like to get a laptop for when I'm out and about. It's main uses would just be browsing, videos and the like. I realise I could get a perfectly competent machine for half the price but I'd like something that would last me a while. I would like the display to be between 13 and 15 inches. I haven't made up my mind whether I will get a ultra book or standard notebook as I would like to see what specs could be had at such a price. I was thinking of a 13' MacBook Air but I'm not sure if that would go down well here . Thanks for any help

Lenovo's Thinkpad T420... that's about as good as it gets re battery life, robustness and longevity in that price range.

With a Core i7 it'll set you back €1.350, That leaves you with a few yoyos to invest in a 9 cell battery or maybe a 128 GB aftermarket SSD.

Thanks for the suggestion I'll take it into consideration, 1366x768 though... yuck
There is a higher res version but then the 9 cell battery which I would like is out of my budget.
Is the UX31 good? Looking at reviews it seems decent except for the trackpad, has that been fixed with updates?
