RTW in 7.5 months?

    Hi,

    Hubbie and I have pretty much decided to head off on a RTW trip in 2 months time, not that far off so a bit hectic trying to plan but it seems like the ideal time has magically arrived.

    We'll have around 7.5 months and we were thinking of this route

    Japan 3 weeks in July - on the husbands wish list, I know nothing of the country (nor any of the others to be honest!) so I think lonely planet are going to see a sudden increase in sales :)

    SEA 9 weeks in Aug/Sept (countries to be decided so need to do some more research on the boards)

    Australia 6 weeks in Oct (flying into Perth, visiting ayers rock and then hitting the east coast....are we bonkers going from one side of the country to another, no idea if its even practical in 6 weeks?)

    South America 12 weeks in Nov-Jan (could possibly extend to 14 weeks and again, countries have yet to be researched but there is a good bit of information on here)

    So, seems a lot in a little time but this will be a one time trip, I don't think the opportunity will come around again. Can anyone advise if we are taking on too much or not? We'll head into trailfinders this weekend but it would be good to hear from anyone who may have first hand knowledge.
