Hospital write to GP?

Hope I'm in the right area here. Just wondering if you attend A&E in hospital if the hospital write to your GP to tell them why you attended and diagnosis etc? Please move if wrong area thanks

Anything i've been in hospital, they have asked me if I wanted them to inform my doctor. If they asked for your doctors details, I would say they informed them though

Cheers, yeh they asked for doctor details alright but i asumed that was a formality as they also asked next of kin etc.
