Hi, I hope someone can assist me here! I recently purchased an off the shelf foot throttle kit for the old mans MF 35X. its basically replaces the right foot rest with a new casting and pedal. The linkage looks standard enough. Does anyone have any instructions of how to fit it as none came with the kit and i don't want to snoop around the tractor too much as it's a birthday present!

Any help would be hugely appreciated!

Is this the one you are fitting?

It shouldn't be too difficult. This link below should give you a good idea where every thing should go. The bottom right of the diagram shows how all of the linkages assemble. I know its not exactly the same but the principle is similar.

If ya got him away for an hour it'd give you plenty of time to put it in. Offer the pedal up to it and that should give you a good idea how to proceed.

It is that exact assembly I have. Not the one in the exploded assembly drawing but i see how it is similar. Thanks for digging that up. There isn't much literature available on these on the net..... unless you purchase the parts book of course!! Thanks again, appreciate it. I'll give it a go at the weekend and will post the picture if you're interested in seeing it.

If ya can get a look at any 100 series Massey it'll help ya. I think the original throttle setup has small circlips along one of the rods to allow Independent movement of the handle. I just can't fully visualise the assembly to be more specific. It'd be great to see a photo when ya go at it. My auld lad has a dexta stripped for the last while and it doesn't have a foot throttle either. If he ever gets to rebuild it somethin like this would make it much easier to use.
