    Very good,it was definitely simpler times back then,no worries about IMF or Bank bailouts...

    A great programme.

    What I really liked about it was that once he moved away from the town & the cars, you couldn't date it!

    Where was Pat from (I am presuming Crossmolina/Bangor Erris area). He is/was a great speaker (36 years on he may no longer be with us).

    I think he is from a place called Keenagh and yes it would appear that he is now dead :(

    go down to the bottom of the page and click on classics Irish, its under landmark on that page

    Great show, love that kind of stuff. Hilarious the shyte about his millionaire friends in London who weren't happy. They could have afforded a hovel in Mayo too i'd say for a few wet weeks in summer.

    There was a good one about an old farmer around Gort in Galway too. Worth the watch.
