Things to do of an evening in town?

I only really get to see my new girlfriend in the evenings, after 7pm mostly, and am looking for suggestions for things to do around town at this time during the week; apart from the pub or cinema that is. Starbucks has been visited since it opens until 10pm but there doesn't seem to be a whole bunch more going on in the late evening on a week night.

    Any suggestions most welcome :)

You could have a late evening dinner. I like Salamanca on St. Andrew's St (Beside the church that's an information centre) because its tapas and you can share a few different dishes.

Maybe check out a comedy night. The International pub runs them upstairs, I can't remember what days its on. There's also the Laughter Lounge on Eden quay.

There are sometimes cheap/free events on in the National Concert Hall. For example this is free on Wednesday. Wouldn't be the music I listen to myself but its sometimes nice to head along to something that's different

National Library of Ireland is open late some evenings too from the look of things: http://www.nli.ie/en/opening-hours.aspx

Do you know the Tea Garden on Ormond Quay? That would be a good spot to bring a date. Much more atmospheric than a starbucks.

Keep an eye on lecool.com/dublin, it often lists some fairly unique goings on that would be a bit more interesting than the usual.

Some films left to see here

    Play pool / snooker!

That's what my boyfriend & I do some evenings during the week, we both love it but it may not be every girls cup of tea!

Accents Coffee Shop on Stephen Street (just off Georges Street), open till 11 30 I think. Brilliant place to go-has stand up comedy, book club nights, great coffee, live bands, friendly staff and super comfortable couches. it was opened specifically to provide an alternative to pubs at night time.

    Seriously can't sing the place's praise's enough.
