can't help you tomorrow but you should defintely play it. Played it there back in August when I was in the area on holidays - lovely course. The 2nd hole is fantastic with a deadly tee-shot.
I love links golf and was really impressed by all different types of shots the course asked of us - i thought it a good test of ones game. played really poorly on the day but loved the course.

Am going back up there again this year on hols - am going to get im more than 1 round this time:D

Was great value too...think it might have been only €20 last August

    enjoy tomorrow

As Portsalon's designer Pat Ruddy might say, and probably has, 'One will enjoy one's self immensely on this course'. Legend of a man in fairness.

I just took this from the website as I know there's some new design work programme going on at the moment...

"Portsalon was originally designed in the 1880's by Portrush Professional Charles Thompson. It was then redesigned in 2000 by the renowned Pat Ruddy. Currently this beautiful Links course is the beneficiary of advice from Irish professional Paul McGinley of Ryder Cup fame."

Stabo - if you want a bit of inspiration: some photos

Hope you have a great round - and if you bump in to 7 Americans, I was playing with them at Portstewart on Saturday.

Thanks Kevin, i went looking for pics through your site first the other day.Only ever played Corballis links before. This is a gem of a course, tough when you have'nt played it before.2nd hole is superb playing out over the beach and back onto the fairway.Got 4 pars and 1 birdie on a par3 so was happy enough, only playing since last summer.
Took loads of pics myself as i do a lot of landscape photog, don't have my DSLR anymore so was using my canon AE-1 film cam. Will post up here in a week or 2 when i get them.
