Sorry if this has been answered already.

The high court case brought by a number of students over the cut in maintenance grants - what happened with this? I remember it being in the press etc and the last I heard it was adjourned for a few number of weeks. This was the end of February. Has any more come of this?

Gary Redmond of the USI said over the weekend on twitter:

"The High Court will give its verdict in the @TheUSI grant case on Wednesday at 11am."

Only thing I've heard about it. Can't see it happening. And if it does happen it'll just be appealed by the government.

Cheers for that! I thought for a moment the outcome wasn't favourable so they hushed it up.

The High Court has ruled against the USI's grant case, saying the "perilous" state of the country's finances outweigh's the students' case.
