    So my c64 doesn't like joysticks any more for some reason so I need to swap out the motherboard.

    Needs to be a working motherboard of course.

    I've a breadbin model that needs the socketed chip replaced as it gives a blue screen on boot. I know it's a common enough problem I just can't remember the name of the chip :o You could make a working one out of the two of them if needs be
