Mazda Tribute

Hi, I drive a Mazda Tribute, the carburetor sticks from time to time jamming the accelerator. I am told this is a design fault in all Tributes and that the fix costs €1000+. This is a Health and Safety issue, how can Mazda just ignore it, Has anyone ever heard of it?
PS try the nervous excitement of your accelerator sticking while overtaking a lorry on an ordinary road.

I'd be very surprised if a Mazda Tribute even had a carburettor.
