    This old chesnut, anyway

I am currently with AIB as they were the most competitive, however i have replaced some watches with more expensive ones and they are now looking for valuations for them all (not an issue save for my 3227 which id need to get done) and have told me that there will be an endoresement on the policy at renewal :confused:due to the value of all risks insured items versus value of contents insured (basically we have more under all risks than contents as apartment dwellers)

So, firstly anyone recommend anywhere for a reasonably priced valuation for the 3227, i might call dawson jewellers tmrw, they know me there.

And who are you using for insurance?

Out of curiosity would you consider a safety deposit box? And how much would it be for one?

Looks like a small operation. I wouldn't be giving anything valuable to a small independent crowd.... and hoping that it is there for me after their company goes bust or maybe their insurance expires....

Aside from the concerns about a potential safety deposit box company going busy with any of my collection locked inside, I wear nearly all my watches on a regular basis and while it's a pain sometimes swapping them in and out of the safe, it's a damn site quicker than a trip into town every time I want to change watch :p they are fully insured on my house policy through a broker we use. Must root out the policy to see who the insurance is with.
