Would you consider a rash guard or surfing type top? This is just a pic from Google but you'll find loads of them online in different styles and colours. You could get some bikini bottoms to match.

you could try something like this....http://store.speedo.com/p/swimsuits/womens-hydrasuit-swimsuit/800710

    or
    http://www.simplyswim.com/products/Speedo/EndurancePlusLaneBlazeSpliceHydrasuit-Gravity.aspx
they are womens but the lowest size would probably be ok for a 12 yr old depending on her size.

Cheers for those, the first one you put up is exactly what I was looking for clare82, Twee that'd be grand for the beach I think but when it's in a pool she was looking for togs.

I had this exact problem when I was younger. I actually found 'tankinis' were good, I found one with a nice high neck front and back. They reach down to the bottoms too so they are the same in terms of coverage. I was a bit bigger aged 12 though, a ladies size 8 or so, so there was more of a range available to me.

Just some advice, if it bothers her, you might think of getting her some antibiotics for it, after a visit to the GP. It really blighted my younger years and I wish now that I had got it sorted out at a much younger age.

clothingattesco.com have quite a few. Very reasonable prices and they deliver to Ireland for £4.95 and you get clubcard points!
    Something like this?

Cheers, by any chance do you remember where you got that? I know I had one from Dunnes when I was ~13 that you could shorten the straps so was a lot better than the halterneck type, but haven't been able to find any.

I think mam's talking about medication etc to help it, I'm kinda taking the clothes side of things for the moment! :)

It was M&S but we're talking 10 - 15 years ago, it was just when tankinis were becoming popular. I remember being so pleased because I went to some kind of camp that had swimming and I could be a bit happier in the water.
