Homemade larsen trap

I borrowed a larsen trap from a mate . It's one of the round ones with the compartment in the middle . It took about 4 days to catch one in it and seeing as I had a second bird I knocked together my own one . I made it much bigger so the call bird had extra room for flapping around and the catch compartments had room to put hay nests and eggs in them .
I put it out with the call bird and fake nests and an hour later I had my first two birds in it !:D:D

I've caught 8 more in it since and only 2 in the other trap. So this got me thinking , would anyone be interested in buying one . I reckon I could knock them up in the workshop and sell them for a good bit less than the metal ones for sale in the shops .

ANyone be willing to take a chance on one ?????

Sorry for delay in getting back to ye . I'm just waiting on some springs and mesh . I'm making up a couple for some local lads and will have pictures for ye when they're made .
I can make them from treated 2x2 timber or untreated 2 x 1 half's and I use 1 inch welded mesh and the heavy duty larsen springs from Dingle poultry .
Drop me a pm Letting me know what you want them made from and where you want them delivered to / picked up from and I'll send you on a picture of them and a price for delivery and pickup .
Might even be able to give ye something for inside it to entice the mags in ;)
