Audiophile 2496 to Monitors

Probably asking a silly question here.

Got an Audiophile 2496 recently and just installed it and I have a set of cheap M-Audio BX5a. There are Phono outs on the Audiophile but the BX5a's need a TRS jack or XLR. Will they work together asuming the BX5a's need a hot cold and ground?

Also is there any chance someone could point me to the lead I require.

    Thanks in advance.

I think I'm right in saying the BX5 has jack inputs too.

a phono to phono lead with jack adapters might be the simplest ?

Beware of levels though when hooking up and testing. :D

you need a pair of unbalanced RCA > TRS cables.. as they are unbalanced (due to the RCA outs on your audiophile), make sure the cables are reasonably short.

Trs may be problem - best use just mono jacks.

    Thanks lads,

Just remembered this thread yesterday, legged it up the road and managed to get the leads, kept them to 3M and they work fine.

    Really appreciated the help
