Up for jamming?

Anyone up for informal jam sessions?

I play guitar and bass and looking for others to jam with (guitar, bass or any instrument).

Into everything from nu metal to mellow acoustic, about the only genre I'd feel uncomfortable with is country.

I'm only working part time and have far too much spare time on my hands so I'd be up for jamming during the day or evenings. I used to play a lot in my teens and twenties and recently got into a band but want to keep improving my playing and have a bit of craic along the way.

Even if you're a beginner who wants to learn, I'd be up for sorting different jams.

Wouldn't mind doing covers, but it'd be good to just jam tunes out of the ether.

    Cheers :)

Put it this way, I can't put my ipod on random if others are listening; it's just too diverse.

Playing wise, I've been in bands doing everything from trad (don't knock it; pay was great!) to trash metal, but mostly rock.
(Please don't think I'm some multi-genre virtuoso; I'm not) Easier to list stuff I don't like; country, RnB and produced pop.

If that's not enough go ahead and list some bands/artists, I'll happily say yay or nay.

    Hi there
I'm based in dublin too and would be very interested in jamming and see what comes from it.
    I play rhythm guitar.
Big Noel Gallagher fan, but like most music. David gary, U2 to name but a fee.
Where do you jam or propose to jam?

I'm Paul by the way. What's your name mate and how old are ya?

    P.

Hi folks, thanks for all the replies and PMs, keep 'em coming!

An update. I'm meeting folks around my house, (or theirs)
but my girlfriend wasn't happy with random folks turning up.
So, I'm meeting people in a pub, cafe or wherever is handy and having a quick chat, then arranging a jam if everything's cool.
    Hope you understand.

Also, any bands out there; please remember I'm already in a band, I can give you a dig out but sorry, I wouldn't be able to commit long-term.
The whole idea of this thread is just to jam and have a bit of craic!

    Cheers :)
