connecting a pc without internet to a pc with internet

Hi All

I have a HP laptop with wireless internet, i also have a windows 7 desktop pc without internet, i want to know if there is a way i can share my laptop data with my desktop via a ethernet cable.

connecting an etherent cable to my laptop and then run it to my desktop, how would i go about setting this up.

Any help would be appreciated.

Its possible alrite, look up how to setup Internet Connection Sharing here

Click start and in the search box type 'ncpa.cpl' and enter. This will open a new window with all your laptops network connections, there will probably be a 'Wireless Network Connection' and a 'Local Area Connection' and if your are using a wireless dongle from a network provider it will also appear here. You need to right click on the connection you use to connect to the internet and select 'Properties'. Then at the top click on the 'Sharing' tab and tick the box 'Allow other users to connect through this computers internet connection'.

I use connectify to share internet connection , it turns my laptop into a wifi hotspot.

Connectify only works if the Desktop PC has a wireless network adapter.
