N25 Dunkettle Roundabout Cork : Lights - blown for weeks!

There's a large array of traffic lights on the Dunkettle roundabout's approaches (4 overhead + one at either side of the junction).

For weeks and weeks, the overhead lights on the way onto the roundabout from the Lower Glanmire Road direction have been out of action / blown.

I contacted City Hall about them and reported them as faulty about 6 weeks ago. Nothing's been done.

Is maintenance gone to hell due to lack of money or something?

Try months. The green lights work, the reds don't IIRC.

The overhead lights are out on the Dublin side too. I would say they have been out since Christmas.

On the plus side, they seem to have changed the sequence slightly to lengthen the green light coming from the Dublin side. It used to take me 15-20 mins to get through at 8.30, the last month or so, that has been cut to 5-10 mins.

I come from the Waterford road side, the tailbacks from the Tunnel Roundabout down towards Little Island have been unreal the last week or so. :(

There was a maintenance crew there over a couple of nights last week, they all seem to be working now. Here's hoping they fixed the problem where half of the lights would fail and end up flashing red/orange on a regular basis.
