Push fit - using them as joiners - twist vs. push

I have been using push fit (Tectite) fittings recently and I am very impressed.

Unfortunately when it came to two pipes, the previous plumber when bending them had left them in a terrible condition and they weren't smooth enough for pushfit. I fitted two compression pieces with some hemp and paste but I am still a undecided about the security of the joint over time and under pressure.

I have decided to cut out the two pipes but they are branches off two 3/4" pipes, and I need to cut out a slice of each of these. If I do this can I use the pushfit as joiners? I ask this because the pipes seem to need a little twist after fitting. Both the 3/4" are strapped up and running off beneath the floor. I could twist the fitting onto one cut end, but when it comes to the other cut end, I can push but not twist. Hope I have explained my dilemma. Any advice?

you dont have to twist the tectite fitting, just push and make sure it poushes all the way in,you can mark pipe correct distance to make sure it slots all the way in

I was in Navan this morning and got a chance to examine the new Hep2o Acorn pushfit. I was so impressed by the mix of connectors that I got a few that are ideally suited to the job in hand (Tectite probably have similar, but I haven't been able to track a variety of them locally). Since the Bubble burst, hardware and builders' stores seem to be throttling back on choices.
