Having trouble getting more detailed info on the below watch. I may have an opportunity to acquire it and can't seem to find an exact match online? Can find a date version but not the pictured no date model? Any fellow WIS any ideas?

I should have mentioned.. Private seller, no box or paperwork and condition is ok but certainly would need a service & refurb.

    A bit of googling...

On a side note, I was in Oslo last year and visited the KonTiki museum. It was very interesting. If you want to know about the Kontiki expedition you should have a read. http://www.kon-tiki.no/e_aapning.php

Looks legit to me H. Right hands and especially crown. The bracelet is later addition though(IMHO) I've seen that very model on ebay about two years ago when I was considering an Eterna. It stood out for me because of the lack of date. I've tended to prefer non date watches myself as I feel it breaks up the dial(odd bastard I am).

Rejoice in the awareness of feeling stupid, for that’s how you end up learning new things. If you’re not aware you’re stupid, you probably are.

In addition, as I rotate watches a lot I'd rather have no date than a wrong date...

I hear that. My only (working) date watch doesn't have a quickset so you have to wind all the days.:mad: I wear that one when it's close to the date displayed. :)
