paint doors or leave wood exposed

    hi,

potentially could be renovating a 1940s bungalow. I plan to sand back the original floorboards an re-coat with clear lacquer. I would also like to salvage teh doors if possible. a. because its probably cheaper than replacing doors. b because I know the doors will fit back into frames once refurbed. c. I'd like to stay sympathetic to the era of the house.

Question is, what would look best, to sand back old doors, lacquer and leave exposed?Or to paint them back white again. bear in mind that I will have wooden flooring throughout and i will probably keep new skirting and architrave exposed. I'm not sure whether there will be too much wood on show and make it feel a bit confined. The house is not big. I will probably be painting walls fairly neutral throughout.

Have googled some images but difficult to find, and I'm finding it difficult to visualise it.

Any links or images would be great

    Thanks

I took my doors off, filled any holes, indentations sanded em and got them spray painted, 4 coats, incl primer
27euro per door, cheaper and less time consuming than painting, much nicer finish, Designer spray harolds x

You will need to apply masking tape to hinges etc, or remove them

This is also an ideal time to change the handles, if needed
