Best place to get kids gum shield

My six year old hates wearing his gum shield, says it's uncomfortable. He's always taking it out and holding it when he plays. We've pared it back to virtually nothing but it still doesn't fit properly.

Anywhere in Dublin (city or northside) we can get a good one?

Dentist can make one moulded specifically to his teeth and gums.

Budget won't stretch that far I'm afraid. Looking for retail solution! ;)

I bought the adult version of this http://www.elverys.ie/Product/Shockdoctor-V2-Rugby-Gumshield-Youths/205839/0000000095

Basically you put it in boiling water, then run it under the cold tap for a second and then get your child to bite down on it, it will mould perfectly to his teeth.

My one was the most comfortable one ive ever had, and i hated wearing gumsheilds. I took a fair few knocks when it was in too.

Should be about 60 - a dental technician can do them too. They're just so much better than anything you'll get in the shops and worth every cent.

Went to Elvery's as suggested and got what he wanted for a tenner.

He played a blinder at the Blitz yesterday! :D

That works better as it moulds to the teeth better in my experience

    I got a mould-it-yourself kit from Opro.

Not too difficult to do and you post it away and get a bespoke gum shield in whatever model and colour you want. Cost me about €55-60. Well worth it, I'd say.

It is when you compare it to the cost of getting a knocked out tooth refixed to your mouth!:D
