    Hi

Not sure if this is the right forum but i'll post it here and hopefully I can get some advice,

Long story short, I need to travel to Canterbury in England ( Kent) (by car) in a few weeks.

Ive never driven to England before so hopefully someone could give me some advice/tips on which route would be the best/simplest for me to take, I'm two hours from both Dublin and Wexford so Rosslare or Dublin port doesn't matter,

Which road would ye advice for someone's first time to drive to England The M4 though Wales or the M6 ?

Also any tips for me also as I've never been on a ferry before too but looking forward to the trip have a good sat nav to.

    Regards

    Joe

    http://www2.aaireland.ie/routes_beta/Search.aspx

Tick the little box that says GB. Then type in where the ferry will take you (Either Holyhead or Fishguard, or wherever you plan to take it to). Then type in Kent England in the "to" box and search away!.

Unfortunately you cant plan your route from Ireland to Kent, but it shouldnt be too hard as you just need to search from where ever the ferry drops you.

Personally, I would go M4 as the M6 can be a nightmare. I think it is a nicer drive as well.

Pembroke (irish ferries) is closer, but not by much.
