Hybrid Scope Options

    Hi All

Looking for some advice. Have an 8x56 s&B - brilliant for stalking but I also want to do a bit of target shooting or fine zeroing at 200yds+ and the S&B doesn't have the magnification and the reticle is too thick.

    Have .270.

If I get rid of the S&B what kind of scope will still do a good job for stalking but also work for target?

One option might be to buy a cheapish scope for daytime target stuff (ie Bushnell banner 6-18 or similar)and keep the S&B.

    Total budget would be 800ish

    Any ideas?
