WCS TUBE TRAP

Are these WCS Tube Traps legal to use in ROI as I've seen them advertised in UK based www.bushwear.co.uk. In their ad it says they have been approved for use in England and Wales only, Scottish and Northern Ireland has passed tests but not gone through parliamentary approval. So can we use them in ROI, and if so what are the target group which the trap is allowed to be used for ?

I am assuming that they are good for grey squirrell, mink, rat etc. Do you have to put bait in the tube?

    Regards

    Price of them...

Have you looked into fenn and body grip traps?

    What're you trying to trap?

Fenn trap would work out much cheaper for you. They need to be placed in a tunnel mind, and I put 2x2 inch weldmesh either end of the tunnel to exclude larger non target species.

One problem with all spring traps is the possibility of non target animals being caught and killed - due to their nature. A live catch cage is a better option if you're not sure of that risk, that way you can release any protected/undesired and not potentially get into trouble.

    Thanks for that
