Brahma, Becks, Stella cheap @Tesco

From a tiny, half-hidden sign on the shelf at Tesco Newbridge:

Boxes of Brahma, Becks & Stella that are listed on sale as 10 euros ---

Brahma: 12 x 33cl bottles for 10 euros
Becks: 15 x 275ml bottles for 10 euros
Stella: sorry, didn't check this, but whatever box is 10 euros

are further discounted at 4 boxes for 25 euros (save another 15 off the sale price)

Apparently you can mix and match, as I got 2 boxes each of Brahma and Becks

Sale continues to 1 May, I think

Is it just me or was Brahma much tastier when it was in the imperfect bottles? still at 0.52 per bottle cant really complain

When it was in the old bottles and higher alcohol % it was much nicer. I wonder if it's brewed under license somewhere over this side of the world now. I used to love it but can't drink it at all now.

Wouldn't be the first beer to be ruined that way. I loved asahi in Japan,but had it in Canada and it was brewed in thailand. Tasted like pish. Same for pacifico-tasted lovely in mehico but awful when it was brewed outside Mexico on behalf of the brewery

Just picked up 96 bottles of Brahma in Tesco Roselawn for 50 quid. Seriously good value. Should see the weekend out for me....

should be doing the same after the weekend, Brahma is quality, never get a hangover and it tastes lovely, ive been getting the 3 boxes for 20 on and off for ages now = 36 bottles for 20 but this deal is even better gotta stock up

Just back from tesco ballybrack. picked up 4 cases of the becks, sel in front of it said deal ends 01/05.
At checkout they scanned at full price!! Took the pleasnt checkout operator to the shelf and showed her the sel. She went to check, came back and said, "oh they say Becks isn't scanning properly"
Then got the deal. Becks, Stella and Brahma 4 for €25 until the 1st May. Fact Good drinking guys..

Was in Mahon point. Picked up 4 boxes of brahma - scanned them - €40. Brought it to managers attention saying it was a nationwide deal according to their website but she maintained that nationwide doesn't mean every store. At that stage I just left as I couldn't be arsed arguing with that.

i went to my local tesco where they usally have plenty of brahma and there was none, no mention anywhere of this deal

No idea tbh. Seems to be inconsistent application of these offers across stores for no obvious reason. For example I've seen people saying they got 24 guinness for 24 euro. I went in to try and avail of this in Mahon point this week and they scanned at full price and staff claimed ignorance. No sign in store to back up claim they were included in their 24 cans for 24 euro deal so nothing I could do. Frustrating.

they have 500ml bottles of "Vratislav" czech lager in my local tesco for 99c - its Tesco's own-brand version of Budvar but it is brewed in the Czech rep and is pretty good.

yeah must be certain stores..

i was getting the brahma for ages cheap enough 12bottles x 3 boxes for 20, so hopefully they'll bring that deal back.. they just have the 24 cans for 24 advertised in my local
