My G/F is looking at getting a 02 or 03 Yaris for her next car,
Are they a good car to drive? Would you get Problems with them?

    Thanks

Try and get the 03 facelifted model. The main difference on the outside is the front headlights have sort of a tear drop design at the bottom and slightly different bumpers. The facelifted model would also have had ABS as standard and higher grade plastics on the inside. Other than that they are a reliable motor but still pricey second hand.

As an alternative I can recommend a Mitsubishi colt (3door version from 2005 onwards)

You can get better value from one of these than a yaris.. plus they are reliable, good on fuel, nippy and spacious inside considering the size of car..

trade off with the good cabin space is the boot size but back seats can slide forwards and come out etc if you need more boot space.

Cheers the best one would be the 03 facelift model for her to drive,
They are pricey enough for them,
