car handle not working properly

Replaced central locking actuator on passenger door. Everything works however when door is unlocked via the central locking the button pops up but door cannot be opened from outside. It can be opened once manual unlock is done. Any ideas?

What make and model?
Have all the rods being connected correctly to their correct location? Sounds like something came off its place.

it's a 2005 S40.

The handle works as long as the central locking hasn't been engaged.

If the cable/rod had been dropped the handle wouldn't open the door at all, would it?
