Looking on DD the last few weeks i'm dumbfounded at the price of some teenage jap steel, namely old toyota's are now apparently worth thier weight in gold, old corolla's going for 2K, a mid 90's Carina going for 900??

But this took the cake, fair enough low miles and not a scrape, but €4200 for....

the boxy starlet theory , same goes for e30 bmw's

its just the new scumbag done thing, they cant afford to throw insurance, petrol and tax money at 2 litre Mitsubishi and Subarus so theyre all going for boxy starlets and other older sheds

Carinas still make good taxi's. My dad has 93 carina with over 500000 miles on it.Still running fine. They just don't make cars like they used to.

I thought that they're getting out of the tin shed's and into TDI'S...

    Regardless they're hardly ''scumbags''...:)

The trend I am noticing is sticking small wide rims on lowered MkII Jettas and Ventos.

I'd have no problems with paying 900 euro for a Carina once she had tax and nct good cars them

I though they were Le Castellet rims off the Mark II Golf but they are 4 stud.
That Jetta has 5 stud hubs so I guess they are a modification.
