unblocking a samsung galaxy phone

    Can anyone help me?My son has a samsung galaxy mini phone.He had a pattern on it that his sister tried to unblock and now the phone is locked.It is asking him to sign in with his google account username and password.The problem is that he set it up with his old friends google account(his friend has since moved).He has tried the username and password he originally used but it won't accept it so he reckons his friend has since changed either one.I brought it back to the shop and they said it would have to be sent away to be reset,at a charge of €30.Has anyone any ideas how to unblock it?

    Factory reset. You will lose all the data on the phone if you do this. There's a guide on how to do this on the Samsung Galaxy Mini here.
    This will return the phone to as it was when your son took it out of the box. That means all the messages, contact info, settings and app data will be gone. The phone will need to be set up with a Google account again, I suggest your son create his own. He can then use the account to back up his data in future, so if this happens again he will be able to get his contact info back.
