Small claims against a UK company.

I feel I have a claim against a company in the UK under the (UK) Sale of Goods Act 1979. This is for items purchased online.

The claim is for postage costs to have the purchased items repaired. costs at the tune of €60 all in.

Under most circumstances I would let this slip but they have been the most horrible people to deal with and I just can't let them have the better of me.

I was looking at initiating a cross border small claim. process explained here: http://ec.europa.eu/justice/civil/commercial/eu-procedures/index_en.htm

I was just wondering about one thing: "...summon the parties to an oral hearing."

As this is a UK company the case would be dealt with by the court local to the defendant, the UK company. Could they ask me to appear in the UK?

Have anyone dome something similar at all?
