Slow broadband on Laptop

At first I though it was just my broadband in the new house I moved into; I though the download CAP had been. Then I noticed that when I downloaded things with Fileserve Manager I was getting download rates of up to 600k/sec but when I tried to download normally through Google Chrome I was only getting 30k/sec for the same…

At first I though it was just my broadband in the new house I moved into; I though the download CAP had been.

Then I noticed that when I downloaded things with Fileserve Manager I was getting download rates of up to 600k/sec but when I tried to download normally through Google Chrome I was only getting 30k/sec for the same file.

I tried another computer and got the higher download rates using the same broadband connection...

Anyone have any ideas what's up?

spyware/malware infections can slow down internet browsing to a crawl, you should do a virus/spyware scan on the laptop.
