    Hi,
I am traveling to Birmingham on the 5th of May and returning on the 7th. I am flying with Ryanair and my passport expires on the 17th of May. Would you know if I will be covered to travel or does it have to be in date for longer.
    Thanks in advance

No problem. The passport is valid.

Birmingham England, no problem your passport is valid.
Birmingham Alabama, I think your passport needs to have at least six months left on it.

You can travel to USA and leave within the validity of your passport. There's no six month requirement for an Irish passport.

OP, you can travel anywhere within the EU right up to the date on your passport.
