I've some engine oil left over from servicing the car, around 2 litres, would it be any harm using it in a years time when I next service it? It will be stored in its current container.

As said should be fine but just check because engine oil does have a shelf life also so make sure to check its dates .

It's been underground for about 50,000,000 years before being canned. Another year'll do no harm.
