As title says i get a strange vibration/rattling at 3000rpm, it's especially noticable as it's the revs you get 45-50 in 4th and 60-65 in 5th at so it's a little annoying, coins in the centre console actually buzz the vibration is so strong then it's just gone.

1st i thought it was the CV joint as it only happenned when turning a tight left, now not so sure, troubling as i just spent half what the car is likely to be worth on selling fixing the 2 front electric windows steering rack and exhaust and will be trying to sell once i pass the NCT on it.

Anyone else ever get this in a 1.4 Octavia ?

    Sounds like a flywheel problem.

I doubt its a flywheel prob on the 1.4, solid wheel jobie.
It could be the heat shield in then centre of the exhaust. Its possible that when you had your exhaust repaired that its fouling somewhere.
Or possibly a worn engine mount.
