    Hi all,

Currently trying to sell my 00 Xsara, but not having much interest on it. Great car, just NCT'd and driving perfectly.
Does anyone know if any dealers etc that accept trade in's without buying from them?
I got a company car so don't need to buy another one.

    Thanks

They'll only give you trade price for it and most of them won't want it. Let it off on done deal. I wouldn't expect a lot for it. €700? Cut the price and it'll sell and bump the ad if you haven't already.

Have an ad on both donedeal and carzone for the past fortnight but hasn't been one call on it. i bought it for €2,500 just two years ago. Could it have depreciated that much in two years? Its relatively low mileage and just passed the NCT. I was hoping to get at least €1,500 for it but not sure thats going to happen now

    it's worth far from 1500.

Price it under a grand or keep it :)

Really? It would have lost that much value in less than two years?!
Just NCT'd and under 100,000 miles on the clock.
    Depressing!

Sounds like you paid a bit too much for it in the first place.

TBH you could have done better 2 years ago. You could pick up an 02 one now for about a grand.

It depreciates from what its worth, not what you paid.

It's worth pretty much nothing. I bought a 00 VSX with 60 on the clock which subsequently passed its NCT for a few hundred euro in 2009.

Any garage will want the car for free.

Iam afraid so kwat,my friend sold his mint citreon 96 BX 3 weeks ago nct till 04/13 got €400 for it and it had only 82000mls full history with it.lots of good cheap secondhand motors out there.

I'd have given him more than that for it.

Defintely a 96? It must have sat somewhere unregistered for a couple of years.

No disrespect OP but the reason it is not selling is because you are asking too much. It is a 12 year old Xara, what you paid two years ago for it has little bearing on it's current value. I'd drop the price it €995 and accept the nearest offer for it. Dealers will not want to buy it as cars of this age and price range reep very little profit for them.
