Parking near Croke Park on match days

I went to the All Ireland Club finals with my father on Paddys Day, we go every year, but this time due to his disability we decided to drive. So we parked off the Whitworth Road, or behind McGraths/Quinns pub. We normally try to park in the sports club car park behind Quinns but it was shut.

Parking signs said paid parking 7 days a week, 2 hours max. We threw a couple of Euros in and left it at that.

What I'd like to know is do the council clamp there on matchday or is there a form of grace as the 2 hour max limit is a bit daft tbh ?

    Thanks

Last time I parked in the same area and the traffic wardens were there clamping/ticketing a car, we asked them and they said as long as I parked legally and paid for the full two hours they wouldn't ticket/clamp the car, I was parked there 4 - 5 hours with no issue.

This was a few years ago though.

If you have a parking card (blue badge) you should be able to park in Clonliffe, I think.
