    Hi,
Ive just been put on a three day week in work. i went to social welfare office to make appointment. She told me to fill out the form get a letter from employer and bring id. I asked her do i need to bring anything from my husband, she said no as its my claim. Does this mean i leave all questions relating to my spouse blank? Also does my employer have to state the hours i will work? My hours will vary depending on how busy we are, between 20 and 25 over the 3 days.
Any thoughts on this would be appreciated.

I am presuming that its jobseekers benefit you are entitled to.You do include details of your spouse on your application form. If he is earning under €310 per week you can get him added to your claim. You dont have to get your employer to state the hours worked. Just get them to state that your days have been reduced from I presume 5 to 3 and what date this came into effect.
