Apologies if this is a stupid question, but say for example Person A wants to transfer some funds to Person B, and they are with 2 different banks so it takes a few days to clear. Once Person A instructs the transfer, is there any way for Person B to confirm that the transfer has been instructed, and Person A isn't just…

Apologies if this is a stupid question, but say for example Person A wants to transfer some funds to Person B, and they are with 2 different banks so it takes a few days to clear. Once Person A instructs the transfer, is there any way for Person B to confirm that the transfer has been instructed, and Person A isn't just bullshítting him by telling him he's instructed it?

You can fill in the blanks above when I tell you that I'm waiting on a rent deposit to be returned from a dodgy landlord :mad::o
