    T O’Donnell, P O’Mahony, P Butler.

    Backs:
    T O’Leary, C Murray, D Williams,
    I Keatley, S Deasy,
    L Mafi, K Earls, I Dineen,
    S Zebo, J Murphy, L O’Dea, D Hurley, F Jones.

    Unavailable for selection:
J Coughlan (hand), D Wallace (knee), R O’Gara (leg), D Barnes (knee), D Foley (shoulder), I Nagle (shoulder), Dave O’Callaghan (knee), N Ronan (knee), D Leamy (hip), T Smith (knee), D Howlett (achilles), Darragh Hurley (back).

    http://www.munsterrugby.ie/news/10385.php

    I'd like to see:
    du Preez, Sherry, Botha, Ryan, POC, TOD, POM, Butler;
Murray, Keatley, Zebo, Mafi, Earls, LOD, Hurley

Bench: Varley, Kilcoyne, Archer, DOC, Holland, Williams, Deasy, Jones

Must win game IMO for both sides. Luke O'Dea deserves a start in a full strength side, the guy scores tries for fun. Murray back is a big boost and it will be another start for Keatley, I honestly wouldn't be against him starting for the rest of the season at ROG's expense.

Id go with the same lineup Thomond. If it had to be an away game this week then probably only Aironi would have been better then away to the Scarlets. Pity we didn't get the BP against Glasgow as a BP in this one would have us level with the O's.

    From here

The Scarlets are hoping Wales wing George North will be fit for Saturday's Pro12 clash against Munster.

North's groin injury will be assessed ahead of a game which is crucial to the Scarlets' play-offs hopes.

The Welsh region are without centre Jonathan Davies, who has been ruled until the end of the seaso n, as well as Andy Fenby and Johnathan Edwards.

However Tavis Knoyle, Deacon Manu, Sione Timani and Scott Williams are back in contention.

Good Munster team. Looking to see how Kilcoyne and O'Dea get on. Both have tough opposition. A string performance from the half backs would be encouraging for next season.

I thought the Scarlets' tight 5 wasnt highly regarded?

Its definitely not but Manu has the experience to give Kilcoyne a tough ride in the scrums.

Good to see Kilcoyne getting a start, it would be great if he can push ahead of Horan as second choice loosehead. I'm amazed they aren't giving Duncan Williams gametime, not that I rate him much.

Micko probably making his last start for Munster here. I don't get why they are persisting with Murphy at centre, he has never been great there, would rather Dineen get a start.

Dineen hasn't shown anything of note to date and I don't think its time to be giving such an unproven guy a start, for Duncan Williams see last weeks answer.

Have you seen any of Kilcoyne this season? I heard good things about him 2 years ago but have seen little of him? Considering the injuries we have thats a useful set of forwards we have on the bench.

Against Leinster A Kilcoyne looked good all around the park but was about even against Moore in the scrums. Imo.

He's always been very mobile, hopefully his primary duties continue to improve.

Big test for Zebo and O'Dea to a lesser degree with who they're facing and a huge call to start Kilcoyne. We have to make sure we make the first tackle count, nothing like our last two games, giving the opposition yards and yards of territory that saw us cough up 4 tries. In the scrums a lot may depend on Kilcoyne but overall our pack is stronger than theirs so I'd hope for at least parity.

It's stating the obvious but this is a must win game for us and Scarlets still have a chance of qualifying if they get a win and their last game is at home too so they'll be up for it.

I'm excited to see how O'Dea and Keatley get on with the first team. Hopefully Keately will have a good game, and prove himself able for this level.

Is John Ryan a LH or TH? Happy to see Horan omitted, if Kilcoyne does well the decision to give him a contract extension will look a bit silly.

Will you rise out of it for gods sake, McGahan must be hoping Kilcoyne has a howler tonight, it would be terrible to look silly to extend a contract of a trusted player by 12 months.

Off course if he was that worried he could have left Kilcoyne at home sitting on his backside.

Ryan has been playing TH this season for Munster, but I think he does play LH as well. I think he was playing LH for UCD last year.

Hopefully Kilcoyne will get ahead of Horan fairly quick, but I think they had to hold onto him really, after Wian there's nothing else until the young guys come through.

Could there honestly not be a clause in the broadcasting rights for these matches that commentary is in English? I'm sick of having the tv on mute anytime TG4 show one.

Amazing how hot and cold Priestland is. Shocking kick there. Kilcoyne doing well in the scrum but Murray needs to wake up and get the ball out when it's there.

Fullest I've seen Scarlets Park for a ML/RDP12 match.

Was never confident Keatley would make that kick.

Munster seem to be half asleep out there today. Very poor so far.

High tackle on Keatley? Know he was falling down a lil but looked bloody sore!

    Lovely try from Donnacha Ryan

Great rob by Micko, and some drive by ryan.weak defense though.

Fantastic try from Donncha Ryan. POC has been everywhere for us.

Pathetic attempt at a tackle by Priestland.

In fairness to MOD and his lifters, they made that try with a good physical contest in the air

Resembles a training match thus far. Weird try by Ryan. Scarlets just stood off and watched him build up a head of steam. Priestland didn't want to know about making the tackle at all. Great steal by MOD to make it.

very soft try for ryan but that ain't his fault. lol

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,848 ✭✭✭bleg

Ref is giving us all the 50-50 calls too which helps.

Great try and line from Zebo. Scarlets defence embarrassing again though. Just walked through them.

Looks like a lovely try from Zebo. Great angle and nice to see some backs play.

S4C picture quality isnt very good, but it looked like he just got his finger tips to it.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 5,592 ✭✭✭GerM

Have seen that given as a penalty plenty of times. No need for LOD to throw the ball away, plenty of men around to cover the quick throw. Nice backs move though, slicker passing with Keatley there.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,848 ✭✭✭bleg

TOD is also having a great game, from the very first ruck.
