Where can I get in Ireland, a Pace manufactured Sky+HD set-top box.
    If possible on-line purchase.

Can't help you with what you're looking for, but 3 and a half years of lurking is epic!

Why Pace? Years ago they were considered the most reliable, but these days all the new boxes are fairly rock solid. They have to be when you have 10m+ active subscribers!

I've one of the small Amstrad units (which Sky now own). No channel loss, perfect picture, no quirks at all. I have never needed to recycle the power and I have it six months now.

Also, work out the cost of buying one versus the cost of subscribing to Sky for a year and getting one for free.

Big, doesn't mean good, just means big.

Had two of them so far, nothing but trouble every 5\6 months.
    Losing programs playback\record etc.
This current one, now broken went live, the phase-tester goes a lovely bright glow.

we're with them circa 12 years, but am reluctant to give an engineer E65, so he can tell me the box is borked, and give me some more of the same as replacement.

ring them and say you want to cancel, when the ask why tell them the box is knackered. they might give you a free replacement.
