    Hi all,
I have a mobile home in South Donegal and I get freeview from Brougher Mountain. The signal I get on channel 4 and channel 5 breaks up alot, can the signal be boosted? bear in mind that it is a communal aerial.
    Thanks for the help.

Brougher will be considerably increasing power from mid to late October at analogue switch off.
    That should solve your problem.
    I'd wait until then.

Thanks for the reply, I am aware that power will be increased and that should solve the problem, I was wondering if a set back booster would up it enough to stop the kids nagging when CSI starts to break up?
If it could be done for about 20 quid it would be worth it until October.

A set back booster would be a waste of money.

A satellite dish & receiver would be the surest way to get reliable UK tv.

I am assuming here that the communal aerial system is properly specced & maintained.

Whilst I somewhat agree,my advice to people who can have fairly stable uk freeview is to either get it when it becomes available or to keep it if they have it now and install a dish as back up if you want.
There's no better simpler set up for a uk channels and saorview combination.
My own experience in the southeast since welsh digital switch over is we might lose signal once or twice a year briefly in fog or flukey high pressure weather.
Id expect the same reliability for those with decent Ni analogue and in the case of the op here.
