    Hi,

I had some regular working years recently, 2009 I was only employed for a few months. 2010 worked for company A, then finished with them, then went back to them on contract then eventually switched to another company. Was with the same company through 2011 but my days per week went from 5 to 4 to 3 over the course of the year.

I also have a good few medical bills for 2010 and 2011.

I'm wondering if i might be entitled to a few quid back because I didn't earn that much during those years. Do you think submitting my medical cliams online and asking for balancing statements for those years should get me back everything I might be due? Would that give me a USC refund if I was entitled to one?

I don't have a medical card or any particular circumstances.

As I don't really know what I might be entitled to, do you think I'd be better off just doing the medical claim and balancing statements myself or should I go through a company who do these claims for you?

I doubt I'll be getting much back but I might aswell try.

    Thanks!

Use the online service as its free and easy to use. Just watch the how to videos and click the help buttons if you are stuck. Claiming health expenses will trigger a review of the entire claim year, so the review will pick up on anything due.
The USC or income levy are unable to be reviewed online so you will have to write for those.

Edit: Just to clarify, in order to obtain a refund of tax you must have paid tax (PAYE)
