Hesitation when accelerating

    Hello again,

I seem to be posting lots about my poor car lately :(

I noticed lately that when accelerating heavily in first and second gear my car would accelerate fine up to about 3.5k/4k Revs and then all of a sudden the car hesitates, acceleration slows and It lasts for a second or two before normal acceleration happens.

The problem is that its intermittent, I can accelerate and 2/5 times it would happen. Its quite annoying when im trying to pull out form a side road and get up to speed.

Car was serviced recently by a friend of mine, Oil filter, Air filter and sparks were changed.

I asked him to take a look at it yesterday and he couldnt figure out what it was, So im Pleading with the Gurus of the Board for a little wisdom. :)

Also, The car is having a hard time starting sometimes. Its turning over but it wont fire up sometimes. Any ideas?

Its the same on a warm engine, I was think it might be airflow. But its intermittent which if it was airflow itd be constant?

    Hi Vicxas

I think what the previous poster was alluding to is that you havent specified the make, model, year, tansmission and engine of your car
e.g. Ford Focus 2007, 1.4 petrol manual - something like that would help teh "guru's" guess whats wrong - at the moment allwe know is that its black. Hard colour to keep clean but no other known problems:p
