Any options for Freeview & Saorview without extra wire?

I have UPC digital in the sitting room at the moment and UPC analogue wired into the kitchen to a wall-mounted flat screen TV. I want to cut UPC and move to some kind of Freeview satellite with Saorview for both TVs.

Is there any kind of nice solution to the kitchen that won't leave me with a wire dangling out of the wall mounted TV to a box in the kitchen. Maybe some kind of wireless sender/receiver?

    All suggestions welcome...

    Thanks

Maybe a Triax Trilink to remotely control a terrestrial/satellite combi receiver - http://www.tvtrade.ie/triax-trilink-kit.html

Is the TV in the kitchen capable of receiving the Saorview channels without a separate STB?

Another option might be a combi terrestrial/sat TV such as this http://www.powercity.ie/?par=10-12-32ES630&pages=1&prod=32ES630&brands=SAMSUNG&image=

I guess the fact that your asking for Freeview + saorview means you're either on the east coast (Welsh Broadcast) or close enough to receive NI broadcasts.
That being the case, consider getting a UHF Group B amplified Aerial for Freeview combined with a Saorview aerial. A modern TV (e.g. Sony HX823) can receive both formats regardless of whether they are HD or not.
This is is my configuration and works well for me and has no subs costs.

Not everyone knows that Freeview is just a brand for the UK terrestrial system.

Apologies for the long delay in responding.

You're right - I think I had my terminology mixed up. I'm really looking for a FreeSat solution (not Freeview) - a satellite that will give me the main UK channels plus something for the kids. I had an Astra satellite facility on holidays in Spain, so something roughly equivalent to that.

Thanks - some useful suggestions there. I didn't know that there was such a thing as a TV that didn't need a set top box to use a satellite signal. Having said that, we don't particularly want to change the TV just yet. It wouldn't be capable of picking up Saorview directly - it's a five year old Sony Bravia.

The Triax Trilink is an interesting option. Would you have any idea of the size of the reciever unit? I just want to make sure it fits behind the TV. Are there any complications about using this in relation to the EPG or the HDD recorder or what?

The only part of the Tri-link that you would have at the kitchen tv, is the remote sensor ('magic eye') & its sender unit. You can gauge the size of this in the photo by relating it to its coaxial cable connections.

What's the model no. of the Sony tv?

I can't find a model number on it. It's a 26" Bravia, HD-ready from about five years ago.
