Played it yesterday - a really lovely course in superb condition. An easy 90 minutes from Dublin city centre.

    Highly recommended.

Nice course alright but a bit on the pricey end especially when you factor in travel time/cost if you're not local. I see they have an open day on Weds for €35 which doesn't offer any real discount on regular green fees but maybe their prizes are great? Worth playing at least once though as the course has so much more going for it besides the famous elevator.

If you go to Just Treats website now. 2 people can play this course with a golf buggy for €49 euro which is €24.50 each. Once you purchase this offer, you have up until the end of April to play.

I play Bunclody regularly as I'm from Carlow and the course is in Carlow too. I think the course has a super finishing stretch from the 14th on but in between I think it's pretty ordinary. There is also a stretch of the course from the 6th to the 12th inclusive that a single fugue golfer has no shot. That's a third of the course in one go with no shot. I also the fairways poor there the grass doesn't seem to have knitted properly and looks like meadow grass. Played jimmy bruen there last summer and they were in a bad way. Lots of sand and very little grass maybe it will thicken in time. The club house and drive in are spectacular but I think it's overrated as a golf course. Certainly I wouldn't put it in the same league as Carlow or Macreddin etc.

Booked in for open singles March 15th there earlier, lookin forward to it as really like the course, greens in particular. I asked the guy in the pro shop was in gui and he said "yep it should be anyway". Hope the course is nice and firm, but would imagine itl still be softish til april or so

Believe I got my dates crossed, 13th April is Rosslare and 26th is Bunclody. Both are top golfer events alright! I shall be at both 👍

Played Bunclody Sunday. Greens are very good. Very fast and true. The bunkers, however are a shambles. Overall good course though with some very testing holes on it.
