Can anyone recommend a place to do a cheap clutch repair on a 99 Astra the lowest I got was €370 anyone know where I would get better, as the car isnt worth much and I cant afford to replace it. City centre or near sandyford would be ideal.

If you really want to skimp on it try get just a clutch plate out of a breakers for maybe 20quid or so and if you know someone who can do the job as a nixer for you, other than that job prob best done right

Skimping on these jobs always turns into a disaster I wouldn't advise it 379 is a very good price u won't get cheaper then that.and take it from me don't skimp u will end up worse off and that's a fact.im to long in the game to no

Unfortunately, the value of the car doesn't change the labour involved.

If that price is for a full clutch kit with concentric slave cylinder including labour, then take their arm and all at that price....if not, then it will likely be false economy assuming you plan on keeping the car.

Paid 500 for a clutch on a cl7 accord, albeit much more labour. That's sterling. For that price its durt cheap for all in price

Its not that much more labour, the subframe has do be dropped on an Astra just like the Accord.
