Changing tyres?

    How often should u change your tyres? how do u know when u need to change them? What are the clear signs of wear? And what do different types of tyres do? Sorry if this is a really nube question. :)

    Some have wear indicators (some Continentals have a couple of small dimples - once the tyre wears them away it's due to be replaced)

    Arguably you only really need to change them when punctures are such a regular event that you feel you're better off with a new tyre. Also look out for deep slits/tears that are more than a few millimetres long, or if there's heavy wear on the tyrewall (possibly caused by a rubbing brake), as this could result in a blowout
