Hi Im looking to convert a bike from canti brakes to disc. Just the rear, because i couldn't be bothered getting a new fork for the front.

So i'll need a new rear wheel with the necessary disc rotor mounts on the hub. It has to be compatible with a ten speed shimano cassette.
I'll also need the callipar and pads as well.
    Any help would be appreciated.Thanks.

Sounds good, If you can confirm the wheel size i might be interested. What size tyres had you on it? Id be hoping to be able to fit anything from 23 to 35. Have you still got a cassette on the rear wheel, can you confirm if it will take a ten speed? How much do you want for just the rear wheel, caliper and pads? I notice your based in galway, I go down there a fair bit and can collect if the parts are going to suit me. Thanks.

I didn't get a chance to check the shed this morning but the wheels are 700C - I think there's 35mm tyres on at the moment and there's one spare aswell.

It was setup for 8 speed (have a cassette for that), so I don't see why a ten speed won't fit.

I also have one spare tyre.

The 2 disc brakes are not the original shimano but clarks I picked up last year from CRC.

If you PM your email I'll send some photos tonight - I had offered this stuff for free before so you can offer whatever its worth to you for

Cheers, forgot to mention, I need mechanical disc brakes as it's going on a drop bar bike. Are yours hydraulic?

    Brakes are mechanical.
Tyres are Botranger 700 x 32C. I changed them and then changed back - tyres are about 4 years old but plenty of life in them - certainly didn't get alot of punctures.

Photos attached. There's a pair of clarks rotors one used for about 1 year and one about 6 months.

Hi Fago, Thanks for the pictures. I'm not sure if my cassette will fit that hub, but I'll take a chance on them on see how I get on. If you let me know what you want for the lot.
I'll probably be in Galway this Saturday evening, but I'll be leaving again early Sunday morning. Send me a PM with your phone number and I'll arrange to meet you.
