Toyota dealer cover query

I'm looking at a four year old Fiesta for sale at a Toyota main dealership, which would come with a one year Toyota warranty.

I was advised that the Toyota warranty does not cover "consumables", including the clutch and brakes. Would this be the norm for dealer warranties to not cover these items?

You have the option of extending the warranty to 2 years now, get a price from dealer on this.

The two year upgrade is only available to Toyota models, as a warranty the dealer cover warranty is one of the best out there.

No warranty out there covers consumables, by their very definition consumables are parts that have a certain life span depending on their use. Warranty will only cover parts that fail prematurely.
