Bike carrier for a RAV 4

Hi all,

Having a problem sourcing a bike carrier ( tow bar) for the father in laws RAV 4. The issue is the spare wheel is surface mounted on the boot and the normal carriers don't extend out far enough.

Any thoughts ??

I have one of these on a Mitsubishi Pajero, it clears my spare wheel no bother.

Bought this bike rack from the Toyota dealer when I bought the RAV several years ago. Wasn't cheap but was worth it. Best bike rack I have seen and the main reason why I won't change the RAV for another few years yet. Holds two bikes rock steady on the motorways and you can lock the rack to the tow bar and lock the bikes to the rack.
